Polygonum Cuspidatum Extract Resveratrol is a phenolic compound that has been found to have strong antioxidant activity. Resveratrol has been shown to reduce the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, total cholesterol and the risk of cardiovascular disease. There have been numerous studies that show the benefits of moderate red wine consumption on health. Red wine is fermented with the antioxidant-potent grape skins present; some studies suggest that the intake of red wine (and therefore resveratrol) may yield cholesterol-lowering effects.
Resveratrol is extracted from dried rhizome of reynoutria japonica, which is also known as polygonum cuspidatum or japanese knotweed. Resveratrol is off-white (50%) to white powder (98%), soluble in ethanol (50 mg/mL), DMSO (16 mg/mL) and other organic solvents, hardly soluble in water (3 mg/100mL).
Function:
1. Anti oxidation, delaying aging and resisting fatigue.
2. Anti cancer, anti-tumor.
3. Anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic.
4. Antibacterial, anti fungal, antiviral.
5. Immune regulation effects.
